The Young People's Club

A social club for young people aged 20-30 who are dealing with mental health issues.

Today, religious young people with mental health issues face unique social challenges, whether their problems are related to social anxiety, depression, etc., or to their history of teenage social rejection. Early psychiatric hospitalizations may have led them to miss school or participation in youth groups, leaving them with less of a social network to fall back on. Later they often experience loneliness and long for a friend group that understands and relates to their special circumstances.

The young people's club takes place on a weekly basis, led by a coordinator with training in the field of mental health. Club activities aim at fostering social relationships and a sense of belonging, including group trips, Torah learning sessions, home visits and weekly consultations.
