The Nefesh Incubator Program

War has taken a heavy toll on Israeli society. Widespread anxiety, trauma, and PTSD aggravate the health of those with existing psychiatric illnesses. This has placed a great burden on the Israeli mental healthcare system, which was caught unprepared for the level of today's demand.

There is now a great need to find creative answers to these new challenges. Yet it often seems that there is a "brick wall" when it comes to serving society's mental health needs. There are "know-it-all" practitioners who see patients and their families. There are outdated protocols and unfilled needs that become obvious to those who live and breathe the everyday struggle of mental illness in their family.

Our target audience are activists from the mental healthcare community who want to drive change, including medical, therapeutic and support teams. Priority for sponsorships will be given to studies relating to both mental health and the religious community.

Initially, eight to ten projects will be selected for this groundbreaking incubator. Each project will be supervised by a mentor with expertise in the project's field. Each project will receive a grant of NIS 20,000 to launch.

We will support the project for eight months. Every three weeks there will be training sessions in entrepreneurship.

We provide everything innovators' need to benefit from the support and assistance of anyone within the Coalition.

Possible project ideas include support groups for spouses or support for medical teams suffering from secondary trauma. We appeal to the public to propose ideas that lead to measurable mental health benefits, healing, and relief.

  • Each project – NIS 20,000
  • Project manager-part-time
  • Meetings (venue and refreshments)
  • Lecturers and Professionals

LATEST INITIATIVES

This year we launched the first cohort of the incubator program, a one-of-a-kind hub dedicated to nurturing and promoting initiatives in the field of mental health. The program selects social innovators and provides them with comprehensive professional guidance and funding to develop their idea. Our goal is to create new and meaningful solutions to the challenges of mental health in Israeli society, while providing the tools and support necessary to transform the ideas into impactful realities.
